Reasons for quick and dirty webcam experiments

This is what I call a 'quick and dirty' webcam experiments webpage.
So you will not find my prettiest pictures on webpages marked as quick-and-dirty, but experiments I did.
Reasons for posting my quick, ugly experimental webcam pictures on my website:
- To have a permanent and descriptive record of experiments I did, for my own use.
- To make these experiments available for other webcam astrophotographers, so they can learn from it, or, ... think out other experiments based on an idea they got while reading thru my experiment notes.
- To force me to type up some comments on these experiments.
- To force me to think thru the reason for the experiments
- To help me logically think about the implications of these results
- It gives me a place to list ideas for my own further experiments.
- To show to everyone that visits my website that not all webcam pictures are pretty. Those other webcam astrophotographers that take those pretty pictures spend time in perfecting their technique as well. Your first webcam pictures will never be as stunning as those of people that has been doing it for months or years. Experience pays, but remember to have fun on the journey of continually getting better.
- To allow me to experiment with 'senseless/stupid' webcam settings in the hope of learning something. This is a great excuse since I learnt a lot from doing experiments with values I 'just somehow' thought would not work. The uglier the picture, the better, BECAUSE the opposite of such experimental settings will probably have GREAT results.
