All these pictures of Mars were taken at prime focus with a 10 inch Meade LX200 GPS telescope and a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000.

I made many AVIs of Mars, Jupiter and the Moon this evening and morning (throughout the night).

However when I processed the AVIs the next day I saw that all of them were taken at frame size of 320x240 instead of at 640 by 480.

When I packed up for the night, I noticed that the telescope's corrector plate was starting to dew up too!!! I do not know how many of my AVIs were done through this dew.

So I wasted a night :-(

Important Lessons learned

Check periodically during your imaging session that all your camera's settings are still correct.

Also periodically check that your telescope's lenses, mirrors and your eyepieces are free of dew.
